The Weaver Bastion
The Weavers’ Bastion was built in two phases and unfortunately part of it collapsed in 1701, thus it was reconstructed in 1750 and restored in 1910. It has a hexagonal shape and it’s provided with loopholes for pouring tar. During the time, after no longer having a protective function, the bastion became the house of the most cultural events from the town. Since 1950 the bastion houses a beautiful museum where you can admire the exhibition entitled ”Brasov castle and the Bársza country fortresses”. The exhibition presents weapons from the middle ages, products made by the guilds and the scale model of the crown city in the middle ages, made by Friedrich Herman in 1896.
